A martial arts club is usually a coach, a mat and a monthly fee. The coach knows every student by name, and still has to remember who paid for October, who is two months behind and who hasn't been to training since the summer.
What makes it hard
- Monthly fees chased by memory. "Did you pay for this month?", asked in front of the group, is awkward for everyone.
- Mostly children. Parents pay, children train, and few of them have a phone or an email of their own.
- Attendance matters. Before a grading or a competition you want to know who actually came to training.
- More than one coach. Each takes money for their own group, and the totals have to add up.
How Abonatus handles it
- The coach's phone at the door. Students with a phone show a QR code; children without one are checked in by name in two taps. Either way, the coach sees at once whether the fee is paid.
- Monthly fees as passes. An unlimited month, or 12 sessions in 30 days for clubs that count. When a fee runs out, the screen says so, not the coach.
- Who is behind. The list shows whose month ends this week and who didn't renew. Students or parents who sign in with their email get a reminder three days before.
- Attendance on record. Every check-in is kept, with the time and who let them in; the reports show visits by day and arrivals by hour.
- Each coach's own till. A coach working the door sees what they took today; the owner sees everything.
- A pause for an injury or the summer: freeze a month and it ends that many days later.
What it costs
Two months free during the pilot, with our help to move your students over from a list or a spreadsheet. After that, one monthly price per club, with no fee per training.
